So, this was not Kyle's first birthday without Daddy, but it was the first without the rest of our family to make up for it. I decided not to try to throw a party this year, for several reasons. It ended up being a great choice because he was a bit of a stinker about what he got and didn't get. Attitude! You'd think he'd just turned 17 and would rather be off on his motorcycle or something (Dad)! Kyle did get a scooter, with helmet, that was a hit. The race track that is getting a grumpy-face turned out great about an hour later when the missionaries showed up to help put it together and test it out. We spent the next 2-3 days building the Harry Potter LEGO stuff. He got the train for Christmas, so we're just adding to the collection. They have all the legos out in the living room right now, as a matter of fact. Oh, the only part of the latest HP movie he saw is the part where Dobby dies. He's Kyle favorite character. Kyle cried and cried and I had to try and explain that he had saved Harry and it was ok. WOW! Too much drama at our house.
